Not Just Fame and Fortune: Celebrities Show Their Gratitude on Parents’ Day

On May 8th, several celebrities stood out with their unique gifts this Parents’ Day. We’ve gathered together those stars who impressed everyone with their extraordinary presents.

Actress Park Bo Young, well-known as a “donation angel,” warmed hearts by expressing her gratitude to the parents of all the staff at her agency on Parents’ Day.

According to a report by Osen on May 8, Park gifted all the families of her agency’s staff with high-end health products and flower baskets. Her thoughtful consideration of not just her parents, but also the families of the staff she works with, touched many people.

In particular, Park’s handwritten letter stirred emotions. On a letter paper with a carnation, a symbol of Parents’ Day, she wrote, “With gratitude for your parental grace, I hope today is a day filled with smiles along with flowers,” alongside the poem “Gift” by poet Na Tae Joo.

In the past, the wife of actor Jung Woong In has stirred up envy by showing off the luxury gifts she received from her daughters.

On May 11 last year, Jung’s wife posted a photo on her social media story. The revealed photo showed luxury brand cosmetics from Dior and Chanel and a handwritten letter she received from her daughters.

Jung’s wife, who received a Parents’ Day gift, expressed her emotions by saying, “When did our babies grow up this much,” evoking a warm atmosphere.

Viewers online responded with comments like, “The daughters who must have saved pocket money to buy luxury items are so admirable,” and “It feels like just yesterday we saw them as babies on Dad, Where Are We Going, and now they’re old enough to give gifts to their parents,” and “How can they use it, it’s too precious.”

Jung Woong In has three daughters with his wife Lee Ji In, whom he married in 2006. In 2014, his youngest daughter, Se Yoon, appeared on MBC’sDad, Where Are We Going 2, and received much love.

Trot singer Song Ga In also made headlines by gifting her mother a luxury car on Parents’ Day.

On May 8th last year, Song posted a photo on her social media with the caption, “Nothing on earth is higher than this. The grace of a mother is endless. Lifetime happiness! Gratitude to parents.”

In the revealed photo, Song’s mother was seen holding a carnation bouquet and smiling brightly in front of a luxury car. Song had gifted this car to her mother for Parents’ Day.

Viewers online reacted with comments like, “She’s pretty on the outside and even more beautiful on the inside,” “As expected of the trot queen Song Ga In! You’re awesome,” and “She deserves the title of ‘best daughter.'”

Fans were touched to hear members of Aespa also demonstrate their gratitude for their parents.

First, Karina surprised many by revealing on KBS Cool FM’s Park Myung Soo’s Radio Show on May 10 last year that she had gifted a car to her parents for Parents’ Day.

In response to Park Myung Soo’s question about how she showed her gratitude towards her parents, Karina answered, “I called them because I wasn’t able to see them due to my schedule, and I upgraded their car.”

Later, on the June 10 broadcast of JTBC‘s Knowing Bros, Karina revealed that the car gift for her parents was her biggest expense after her debut, which warmed hearts.

Following this, Ningning, who appeared on Knowing Bros with Karina, also revealed that she had upgraded her parents’ car. She surprised everyone by confessing, “I bought a house for my grandmother. I also upgraded my mom and dad’s cars.”

Fans felt proud living vicariously through Ningning’s “flex” to express her gratitude to her parents, whom she can’t often see because she’s working far abroad.
