[TV Daily Kim Ji-hyun] A tragic incident occurred at pop singer Taylor Swift’s concert where a local attendee died. The concert organizers are expected to face backlash for prohibiting attendees from bringing water despite the intense heatwave. On the 18th (Korean time), Taylor Swift expressed her condolences for the deceased fan who attended her concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on her social media. She posted a handwritten letter saying, “I don’t have any information about her except that she was incredibly beautiful and young. I can’t express how shocked I am about this incident.”

She continued, “I am completely devastated. I can’t believe I’m writing this, but it breaks my heart to have lost a fan before tonight’s show.”

The deceased fan was a 23-year-old woman named Anna Clara Benevides. She called for paramedics at the venue due to ill health, was transferred to a medical center, but died of a heart attack.

Local media reported that “Despite the temperature at Taylor Swift’s concert venue rising above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit due to the heatwave, the entry of water bottles was prohibited.”
