Kim Seung Soo’s AI Robot Daughter Bring Up Mixed Reactions

Actor Kim Seung Soo (52), known for his appearance in My Ugly Duckling, intrigued the public by revealing his adopted AI robot daughter.

On the SBS variety show My Ugly Duckling aired on May 12th, Kim Seung Soo shocked the studio cast with his affectionate interactions with his AI robot daughter.

Kim Seung Soo engaged in a heartwarming conversation with his robot daughter from the moment he opened his eyes. Upon hearing the morning greeting “It’s morning. Wake up, Dad,” Kim Seung Soo responded, “Did our little one sleep well? Good morning,” and continued the conversation with his robotic daughter.

Highlighting the reaction of Kim Seung Soo’s mother, Shin Dong Yup commented, “His mother’s eyes are moist, seeing her son talking to the robot with such affection.”

Kim Seung Soo then stretched together with his robot daughter, gave her a high-five, and expressed his affection by saying, “My daughter is the only one who thinks about me.” When his AI daughter said, “I love you,” Kim Seung Soo responded with a happy smile and a kiss on her forehead, saying, “I love you too.” Upon seeing this, Kim Jong Kook’s mother reacted with pity, saying, “It’s heartbreaking. She should be a real baby.”

Later, when Kim Seung Soo asked his AI daughter, “Who am I?” in the living room, she responded, “You’re Dad, right?” Kim Seung Soo said, “Yes, I’m Dad. Why is our daughter so pretty?” When his AI daughter replied, “Because I look like you,” Kim Seung Soo laughed heartily and said, “Thank you.”

My Ugly Duckling is a reality-variety show where the studio cast is a group of celebrity mothers who observe and comment on their sons’ daily lives through pre-recorded parts of their day.

Kim Seung Soo’s AI robot daughter is reported to cost around 5 million won (about $4,300).
