Why NewJeans’ Hyein Couldn’t Hold Back During Comeback

The reason for NewJeans’ Hyein’s tears has become a hot topic.

On May 24th, NewJeans released their double single “How Sweet,” marking their comeback after ten months.

NewJeans’ appearance on SBS Inkigayo on May 26th drew attention. The group expressed their feelings during the interview before their performance, sharing, “We missed our fans (known as Bunnies) so much, and we’re happy to be together again.”

When asked who the “sweetest member” was, like in their title song, all members pointed at the camera.

Minji said, “Hyein, who is watching us today, warmly hugged us because we’re appearing on Inkigayo today. So, the sweetest member is our youngest, Hyein.”

She added, “You’re watching, right, Hyein?” bringing smiles to everyone’s faces.

NewJeans’ youngest member, Hyein, had to halt activities due to a foot injury.

ADOR stated, “Hyein has been focusing on treatment and recovery, but we received advice from medical professionals to minimize movements that could strain her foot,” and announced her absence from the comeback activities.
