Adele to Fan: ‘Shut Up’ Over Anti-Pride Comments During Performance

World-renowned singer Adele has stirred up a buzz with her bold response to someone in the audience.

Several international news outlets reported that the famous singer made it clear at her concert that no hate speech would be tolerated.

According to these reports, a heckler in the audience made a homophobic comment during Adele’s concert last weekend, yelling “Pride sucks.”

“Excuse me, did you come to my [expletive] show and just say that ‘Pride sucks’?” Adele said, appearing immediately aggravated by the outburst. “Are you stupid? Don’t be so ridiculous.”

The crowd cheered and applauded for Adele despite the stern exchange. The heckler’s callout of “Pride” was regarding Pride Month in June, a symbolic month dedicated to commemorating the Stonewall riots and celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community.
