Fighting Wrinkles and Sagging Skin: Tips to Stay Forever Young

Skin Elasticity Decline Due to Aging

The biggest reason for the decline in skin elasticity is aging. Elasticity decreases due to aging, and according to research, the rate of aging can differ by up to 5times among individuals. The appearance of aging and the overall physical aging process is faster in some people, leading to the early onset of wrinkles and loss of skin elasticity.

Therefore, focusing only on the skin is insufficient to maintain skin elasticity. You need to manage the overall aging process of the body. So, how can we address this?

Method 1 to Increase Skin Elasticity: Fasting

Eating less and restricting calories over a long period can decrease your metabolic rate. A lower metabolic rate reduces oxidative damage to DNA in your body, slowing the aging process. Also, restricting calories can lower insulin secretion and resistance, further delaying the aging process.

Intermittent fasting is a method to achieve this. It’s better to prevent aging through intermittent fasting rather than drastically reducing food intake.

Method 2 to Increase Skin Elasticity: Eat Less Simple Sugars and Flour

Various skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, rosacea, acne, and dermatitis require reducing flour and simple sugar intake. This is because it can reduce inflammation and improve the skin.

Gluten lectin contained in flour is an inflammatory substance. Consuming a lot of simple sugars can cause glycation of proteins in our body, leading to chronic inflammation and accelerating the aging of all organs. Naturally, this can lead to faster skin aging.

Method 3 to Increase Skin Elasticity: Apply and Consume Vitamins

Vitamins C and E can help slow down skin aging. Multivitamins contain almost all vitamins, so consuming these can slow skin aging. Regarding topical vitamins, A, B, and C all help slow skin aging, but vitamin A is the most famous.

Vitamin A comes in various forms, among which tretinoin is known to improve skin aging and fine wrinkles. However, it can cause skin irritation, so using over-the-counter products is better.
