On the 24th (local time), Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov denied the heart attack rumors, stating, “President Putin is perfectly fine. These are just more fake news.”

Peskov also addressed rumors that Putin uses a body double, calling them “an absurd scam and the same kind of absurd fake news that many media outlets have persistently claimed. It’s just laughable.”

The Kremlin also released photos and schedules showing President Putin in good health and at work.

On the 23rd, it was reported that President Putin had a phone conversation with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, led by Brazil, discussing conflicts between Israel and Hamas and the war in Ukraine.

They also released a photo of President Putin meeting with Kazbek Kokov, the representative of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic in southern Russia, in his office that day.

On the 23rd, British tabloid The Mirror and others cited the Telegram channel ‘GeneralSVR,’ allegedly operated by a former Kremlin Russian intelligence agent, claiming that President Putin had suffered a heart attack on the night of the 22nd and received emergency treatment.

The channel claimed that “at around 9:05 p.m., Putin’s security guards heard something fall in the president’s bedroom and rushed to find Putin collapsed next to his bed.”

They added, “The security guards saw President Putin lying on the floor, convulsing.”

Subsequently, medical personnel diagnosed President Putin with a heart attack and performed resuscitation. The channel also reported that he regained consciousness and stabilized in a special intensive care unit within the residence.

The channel has previously raised several health concerns about President Putin, including rumors of cancer surgery, an early Parkinson’s diagnosis, and a faux pas after a stair mishap.
