Tottenham and Son Heung-min began to pay attention to the players who would fill the gap.
Serhou Guirassy (27) of Stuttgart has caught the attention of Tottenham Hotspur.
According to the media, Fulham’s manager Marco Silva is expected to receive funds for the winter transfer window, and recruiting a striker is a top priority. Currently, Fulham has not been able to fill the void left by Aleksandar Mitrovic (29) who left for Al Hilal last summer.
Guirassy is one of the most watched strikers in Europe this season. The Guinean native left French club Stade Rennes last season and spent time on loan at Stuttgart. Ahead of this season, Guirassy made a full transfer to Stuttgart.
Guirassy has been in top form this season, scoring 14 goals in 9 games, surpassing Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane (9 goals) to top the Bundesliga scoring chart.
Tottenham will be missing key players in January. Son Heung-min (31) will participate in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup starting on January 12, while Bissouma (27) and Sarr (21) will participate in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations starting on January 13. The three players are likely to be absent from the end of December. If Tottenham acquires Guirassy, they could fill the void left by Son Heung-min. Currently, Son Heung-min has been playing as a center forward, filling the spot left by Harry Kane (30) who transferred to Bayern Munich. Tottenham did not sign a striker after selling Kane.
Meanwhile, Tottenham won 2-1 against Crystal Palace in the 10th round of the 2023-24 Premier League (PL) season at Selhurst Park, located in London, UK, at 4 am (Korean time) on the 28th. With this, Tottenham has maintained the top spot in the league with 26 points, remaining undefeated in 10 matches since the start of the league
