Khalid Al Falih, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment, stated on the 8th (local time) that the normalization of Saudi-Israeli relations depends on a peaceful solution for Palestine.

Minister Al Falih said at a forum held by Bloomberg in Singapore that day, that while the possibility of talks for normalization with Israel still remains, “(normalization) depends on the path to a peaceful resolution of the Palestinian issue.”

He said, “It (the normalization discussion) was on the table, and it is still on the table,” but also clarified that “last month’s frustration made it clear why Saudi needs to be firm in setting the resolution of the Palestinian conflict as part of the broader normalization in the Middle East.”

In response to a question about whether Saudi would use economic means such as oil prices to achieve a ceasefire, Minister Al Falih laughed and said, “That’s not on the table right now.” He emphasized, “Saudi is trying to find peace through peaceful discussions.”
