2024 F1 Grand Prix Kickoff
Attention Poured on Lewis Hamilton
His car collection also received attention

Many people are paying attention as the 2024 F1 Grand Prix opens on February 29. Although there was no significant demand for the F1 Grand Prix in the South Korean market, the number of people entering the market through various OTT broadcasts has been increasing recently. Lewis Hamilton, one of the famous foreign F1 drivers in South Korea, is also participating in this year’s race.

He currently belongs to the Mercedes AMG Petronas team and is one of the most famous racers in the world, having received a knighthood in the UK in 2021. He holds the record for the most championships ever, with 7 championships. This season, his last ride with Mercedes, we have discovered what cars he has been driving outside the circuit.

From Classic Cars to Hypercars
Shelby Cobra, Pagani Zonda

As an F1 driver, it’s natural for him to own a legendary classic car. The Shelby Cobra he owns is a 1966 model nicknamed the world’s fastest production car and is one of the iconic models of US racing. This vehicle, the AC Cobra, is active in racing stages such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Daytona and remains a historic car.

One of the vehicles he owns, the Pagani Zonda 760 LH, is a limited edition model of which only 5 units were produced worldwide and is said to have now been disposed of. Lewis Hamilton once said that the Pagani Zonda’s exhaust sound has been fantastic, but its handling has been the worst. Meanwhile, the Pagani Zonda can achieve a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) within 3.5 seconds.

Showing Affection for His Team
Mercedes AMG Project One

Lewis Hamilton, a Mercedes Benz AMG Formula One team member, has considered the Project One model to be one of the most meaningful cars to him. This model is a plug-in hybrid hypercar made by Mercedes, produced in a limited edition of 275 units worldwide, and is characterized by being designed so that it can be driven on public roads by lowering the performance of the engine of the car that actually won the F1.

Lewis Hamilton, who usually shows eco-friendly actions, attracted attention by declaring that he would not dispose of or ride any of his existing vehicles and would only ride the Mercedes EQC electric car model. Meanwhile, this car has been discontinued and is expected to be launched as a new model.

Possibly move to Ferrari in 2025
Coincidences about owning a LaFerrari

Lewis Hamilton’s transfer rumors have surfaced before the 2024 Formula One Grand Prix. As it becomes clear that he will stay with the Mercedes AMG Petronas team until 2024 and move to Ferrari next season, the LaFerrari car he drove in the past is also attracting attention again.

Ferrari’s first hybrid hypercar is powered by a 6.3L V12 engine and an electric motor and is a monster vehicle that can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of  231 mph (372 km/h). Only 500 units have been produced worldwide, one of which has been owned by Lewis Hamilton. Attention is being paid to whether he will be able to finish his career at Mercedes on a splendid note this season and move to Ferrari to become a champion once again.
