As Christmas approaches, the days are filled with excitement. It’s the season when carols fill the air, and glittering Christmas trees can be seen everywhere. Many people are making travel plans to spend Christmas abroad. Europe is already bustling with Christmas markets and an end-of-year atmosphere.

Just like Europe, New York City also takes Christmas very seriously. The city has already finished all the preparations for Christmas. The iconic places symbolizing Christmas are ready for everyone to enjoy.

The most representative place to feel the Christmas spirit in New York is the ‘Rockefeller Center’. Every year, as the end of the year approaches, a giant tree is placed in the small square in front of the Manhattan Rockefeller Building. On November 29th, the 91st Christmas tree lighting ceremony was held at the Rockefeller Center.

This year, a tree standing a whopping 78.7 feet tall signaled the start of Christmas. The tree grew in Besterl and was used as the Christmas tree. Decorated with more than 50,000 LED lights, the dazzling view captivated the eyes of the city. At the very top of the tree, a Swarovski star-shaped ornament decorated with about 3 million crystals was hung.

Thanks to the Rockefeller Center, which is a symbol of the city, the streets were magically illuminated. Kelly Clarkson hosted this year’s lighting ceremony, which was broadcast live on NBC. In addition to the giant Christmas tree, the Rockefeller Center also sets up an ice rink in the square, perfect for enjoying the real winter.

Christmas has also begun at the Saks Fifth Avenue department store located on 5th Avenue. As Christmas approaches, a dazzling holiday light show takes place. This year, the Christmas decorations were done in collaboration with Dior. The lights decorated with Dior’s signature elements drew admiration from visitors.

The department store’s window display was transformed into a small theater. One side of the department store was filled with dazzling lights, making it impossible not to stop and stare. Every day from 5 p.m. to midnight, a light show synchronized with carols takes place every 10 minutes. 600,000 lights dance in sync with various Christmas carols.

The holiday light show at Saks Fifth Avenue began on November 20 and will run until January 5th of next year. It’s a sight you’ll want to see every day, even after Christmas is over.

Christmas events are also being held at Bryant Park. Bryant Park is a park near Times Square. A tree is displayed here every year, and the tree lighting ceremony has already been held.

It’s also a popular spot where a Christmas market offers a true Christmas atmosphere. Bryant Park has been hosting the most famous Christmas market in the area, Winter Village, since November 27th. If you’re a tourist visiting during Christmas, you can’t miss Bryant Park. It’s considered one of the must-see Christmas festivals in winter.

The Christmas decorations and numerous lights in Bryant Park captivate tourists. An ice skating rink is opened every winter, enhancing the winter atmosphere. In addition to Bryant Park, a Christmas market is also held in Union Square.

When Christmas arrives, everything from the streets to residential areas is filled with dazzling lights. Among them, the Dyker Heights neighborhood in Brooklyn is decorated with Christmas decorations throughout the entire village when winter comes. This place is also known as ‘Christmas Village’ among locals and is considered the most beautiful residential area.

Every house is decorated vibrantly using various Christmas items. The romantic atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a movie. It’s hard to believe it’s a residential area as each house boasts high-quality decorations, making it a great place to explore.

It’s a place where you can see how seriously Americans take Christmas. It’s such a beautiful place that it’s considered a representative Christmas landmark. If you use a tour product, they will introduce the houses to you. I recommend enjoying the night view at Dyker Heights and truly savoring Christmas.
