On the 2nd, a post titled ‘Moments I feel regret for starting my business.’ was posted on an online community for self-employed individuals.

The author, who identified himself as a restaurant owner, Mr. A started by saying, “At around 2:30 am on the 1st, I received an order for a pork belly lunch box and alcohol from a customer.”

He continued, “I cooked the food and completed the delivery within 30 minutes, but I received a call two hours later at 4:30 am.”

The customer who called started complaining to Mr. A, saying, “The food is cold.”

According to the transcript written by Mr. A, the customer blurted out harsh comments such as “The food is damn cold but still forcefully swallowed it.” and “I ate had to eat your cold damn food.”

Mr. A responded, “I’m sorry. What can I do for you?” and “If you were greatly inconvenienced, I will process a refund,” but the customer mocked him, saying, “What’s the point when it’s already all in my stomach?”

Mr. A hung up the phone, saying, “Don’t be sarcastic. Contact me through the customer center,” but the customer called again and began to threaten him. He said, “You bastard, you hung up the phone. I will kill you. Is my stomach a trash can, you bastard?”

When Mr. A hung up the phone again, the customer continued his threats by writing in the delivery app review, “I will stab you with a knife and kill you.”

In the end, Mr. A went to the police and expressed his intention to sue. Mr. A said, “When I said I would sue and if he didn’t like it, he should come to the police station and apologize, he showed up 15 minutes later with his mom.” He added, “When his mom was extremely upset asking what her son did wrong, I showed her the recording and the review, and her expression was priceless.”

He continued, “She knelt down and cried apologizing,” and “I wanted to go all the way, but the police advised me to resolve it amicably, and I let it go because he was so young. It was quite disillusioning to hear such words from a person who looked about the age of my 15-year-old nephew.”
