A tragic news has recently been reported from the UK.

On the 17th (local time), the UK media METRO reported the heartbreaking story of a 2-year-old baby who starved to death next to his father who died of a heart attack. According to the report, 2-year-old Bronson Battersby was found dead, curled up next to his father Kenneth (60), who died of a heart attack on the 9th.

According to the initial autopsy results, Bronson died of dehydration and starvation, and Kenneth died of a heart attack.

Upon hearing the news of her ex-husband and son’s death, Bronson’s mother, Sarah Piesse (43), claimed that the social welfare agency missed several opportunities to save the child.

Kenneth, who was unemployed, had been suffering from a heart condition that caused severe jaundice for several months.

In response, a social worker made regular visits to Kenneth’s home. On January 2, the social worker visited for a regular check but left and reported to the police when there was no response.

The social worker visited again two days later but still received no response and reported to the police again.

Finally, on the 9th, the social worker received the keys from the landlord and discovered Kenneth and Bronson’s bodies upon entering Kenneth’s house.

The autopsy results suggested that Kenneth died around December 29, so Sarah cried out, “If the social worker had rushed into the house when there was no response on the first visit on January 2, Bronson would still be alive.”

Meanwhile, according to The Sun, the social worker is believed to be currently on voluntary leave.
