North Korean Medical Research Institute Develops Cancer Vaccine Therapy and Other Treatments

North Korean medical research institutes are making strides in treatments and pharmaceutical research that contribute to the health improvement of residents, according to a report by Rodong Sinmun on the 24th.

The newspaper reported that the Tumor Research Institute has developed a new type of treatment that combines various methods, such as surgery and cancer vaccine therapy.

Generally, surgery is the primary treatment method for malignant tumors in the liver. However, many countries are implementing various combined therapies in clinical practice to reduce recurrence and metastasis rates after surgery and enhance the effectiveness of the operation.

The Medical Research Institute also developed a therapeutic drug improving liver dysfunction based on the achievements and experiences of introducing advanced biotechnology products into clinical practice.

They explained that it had succeeded in creating an intravenous injection drug, glyceride artemisia capilaris shot, by combining physiologically active substances beneficial for liver disease treatment and Korean herbal medicines.

Currently, the therapeutic drug prevents the destruction of liver parenchymal cells in various toxic liver disorders, promotes cell regeneration, reduces elevated enzymes, and stabilizes serum proteins.

In addition, it added that clinical practice has proven that Artemisia Capillary T. extract stimulates bile secretion and is powerful in improving digestive disorder symptoms that appear in chronic hepatitis and liver dysfunction.
