Hennessey Turns the Ford F-150 Into a Hypercar Powerhouse with the VelociRaptor 1000!

Hennessey’s Pickup Truck VelociRaptor 1000

Hennessey is a Texas-based American automobile tuning and hypercar manufacturer founded in 1991. Hennessey grew from tuning Dodge vehicles. and has expanded its field to modifying American muscle cars and pickup trucks. They now specialize in producing high-performance vehicles.

It was recently reported that the VelociRaptor 1000, which Hennessey unveiled in 2023, has entered production. The VelociRaptor 1000 was built based on Ford’s F-150, but reborn with the performance of a supercar.

Ultimate Off-Road Vehicle Modified to Deliver Supercar Performance

Hennessey expressed strong confidence in the VelociRaptor 1000, saying, “It will be the ultimate off-road vehicle and an on-road truck that will embarrass its competitors.”

Hennessey has upgraded thousands of Raptors so far and is said to have incorporated the knowledge gained through this process into the VelociRaptor 1000. Hennessey said that the VelociRaptor 1000 was modified for more powerful performance by adding an upgraded 3.8-liter supercharger, high-flow air induction, billet fuel rail, heavy-duty supercharger belt, and upgraded fuel lines.

1,028HP and 86.3 lb-ft of torque

The VelociRaptor 1000, equipped with a supercharged V8 engine, can supply 1,028 horsepower to all four wheels and generate a torque of 86.3 lb-ft. Thanks to the upgraded performance, it takes only 3.1 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 62 mph.

This is a speed comparable to that of the Dodge Challenger SRT Widebody model. Other standard features include a 3-inch lift with a leveling kit, VelociRaptor 1000 bumper, Hennessey wheels with off-road tires, power fold-out steps, and VelociRaptor 1000 badges.

Expected to be sold for around $150,000

John Hennessey, founder and CEO of Hennessey, said, “The VelociRaptor 1000 will be the top predator in the pickup truck market, equipped with new wheels, tires, and large Brembo brakes, the VelociRaptor 1000 will be similar to the Porsche 911 Turbo S.”

Hennessey has yet to reveal the price of the VelociRaptor 1000, but since the base model of the Raptor costs about $112,890, it is expected to be launched with a premium of about $39,843 to $47,074. Previously modified VelociRaptor 400 Bronco and VelociRaptor 600 were also loved, so it is expected that VelociRaptor 1000 will also receive a good response.
