Due to its long history, the Caravan, a minivan model launched by American automobile manufacturer Dodge in 1983, has been used by many US consumers.

Unfortunately, the Dodge Caravan, a model in production for over 30 years, was discontinued in 2020. However, with Dodge’s recent strategy of reintroducing discontinued models as electric vehicles, many consumers are hopeful for the Caravan’s comeback in an electric format.

Dodge previously decided to discontinue the muscle cars Dodge Challenger and Charger but also announced plans to revive them with electric vehicles. Accordingly, expectations are rising that caravans may be restored as electric vehicles. Accordingly, digital artist Digimods DESIGN recently created and unveiled a rendering of a new caravan.

The unveiled rendering contains a design created by imagining the new long-wheelbase model, the Grand Caravan. In terms of overall shape, it features the extended body length and boxy lines typical of a minivan while incorporating the aggressive design elements of the Dodge Charger Daytona. The front part has an LED light bar extending along the entire width, as seen in the new Charger Daytona.

Angular bonnet parting lines
Sleek front-end design

Behind the LED light bar, a rectangular panel was applied in a recessed shape. Above it, the angled parting line of the bonnet protrudes slightly and covers the panel. In the case of the side of the long bonnet, voluminous lines and engravings are added to create a three-dimensional appearance. In the case of the bumper, the sporty aspect is revealed through the ㄱ shaped air intake and the horizontal thin lower grille.

The front part of the Caravan, which contains design elements of the new Charger Daytona, such as the black-colored front lip, has an aggressive design expected to have the futuristic appearance of an electric vehicle and significant performance. On the side, red-colored brake calipers are applied along with thin-spoke wheels. A character line extending horizontally along the door handle is positioned as a point on the side.

Rectangular taillights
Aggressive rear-end design

The window belt line gets higher toward the top toward the rear and extends similarly to the gently falling roof line. Here, the D-pillar line diagonally descends to the right, creating a dynamic appearance on the side. In addition, the front and rear overhangs are short.

In the case of the rear, the new Charger Daytona design elements stand out. A thin rectangular tail lamp was applied. In the case of the tailgate, right-angled lines and volume were added to add an aggressive element to the rear. Horizontal auxiliary lights and reflectors are installed at the top of the tailgate and the bottom of the bumper, respectively, giving a sense of balance to the design. Although it is a minivan, it has been receiving favorable reviews for its sleek appearance thanks to the design elements of a high-performance electric muscle car.
