Barbaric Act Uncovered: Mother Dogs Brutally Split Open at Breeding Facility

Rescued 1410 dogs from an abusive dog breeding center

It has been revealed that brutal animal abuse occurred at a dog breeding facility in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province.

Gyeonggi Province and animal rescue organization WACT received an urgent report on the 1st and discovered a horrific situation at a licensed breeding facility in Hwaseong, where they rescued around 1,400 dogs,” they announced on the 3rd.

Governor Kim Dong Yeon received an urgent instruction from an animal protection organization through social media on the 1st, and immediate measures were taken.

The animal organization reported animal abuse, such as splitting open mother dogs to remove puppies, euthanizing them, storing the bodies of dead puppies in a freezer, and burying them in the mountains.

It was also confirmed that dogs with reduced commercial value were killed with muscle relaxants, stored in a freezer, and illegally cremated and buried behind the breeding facility.

 

On that day, Governor Kim stated, “We are transferring the rescued dogs from the horrifying scene to Gyeonggi Companion Maru,” and added, “Gyeonggi Companion Maru is not officially open yet, but we have prepared all available resources to welcome these precious lives.”

He also said, “Gyeonggi Province has taken immediate action. The Special Judicial Police Unit immediately dispatched to the scene, and the Livestock Animal Welfare Division protected the dogs at the scene,” and added, “Gyeonggi Province, as the center of change, will do its part to raise the level of animal welfare in South Korea.”

Although the breeding facility had been reported to the local government, it was found to violate the animal protection law due to allegations of abuse.

Gyeonggi Province plans to obtain the owner’s consent to relinquish ownership of the dogs and take administrative measures such as suspending the business at the facility.

 

Out of the 1,410 dogs, Gyeonggi Companion Maru (Yeoju) directly protects 583 dogs, and the Helper Dog Sharing Center (Hwaseong) rescues 104 dogs. Animal protection organizations support the remaining dogs through financial assistance.

Except for the dogs directly protected and supported by the province, they will be transferred to animal protection organizations. Gyeonggi Companion Maru, which is about to open officially, explained that urgently protecting animals in crisis is significant.

The province has completed the placement of surviving animals in protection facilities and will proceed with adoption after procedures such as disease control and health examinations. In addition, the province plans to promote adoption campaigns in cooperation with animal protection organizations actively.
