Aims to Alleviate Concerns Over Investing in China… Hundreds of Company Representatives to Participate

Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to meet with representatives of major U.S. companies.

Bloomberg reported on the 7th (local time) that President Xi will meet with U.S. company representatives in San Francisco in the middle of this month, in conjunction with his attendance at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.

The dinner is expected to be attended by hundreds of people, including the CEOs of major U.S. companies.

Previously, the U.S. and China had principally agreed to hold a bilateral summit at the APEC summit in San Francisco (11th-17th) following a meeting of foreign ministers in Washington D.C. at the end of last month.

China has not yet officially announced whether President Xi will visit the U.S., but the White House has formalized it. This has led to analysis that there is a temperature difference between the two sides regarding this summit.

Bloomberg analyzed that President Xi will focus on alleviating foreign investors’ concerns about investing in China during his visit to the U.S.
