Bulgari CEO defends Blackpink’s Lisa: “Stop the hate” What happened?

The chairman of luxury brand Bulgari, Jean-Christophe Babin, has fired back at the online haters of BLACKPINK’s Lisa.

Bulgari Group CEO Jean-Christophe Babin posted a photo with the phrase “STOP HATRED” and a related message.

“I’ve recently discovered that some people are irresponsibly leaving comments filled with hate, insult, and racism on my posts,” Babin said. “My social media is a space to be with the Bulgari family. Those who leave comments of insult and hatred can be permanently blocked from my account, and I will report them to the cyber police.”

Lisa is currently serving as an ambassador for Bulgari. Recently, she was embroiled in a controversy over a ‘lewd’ performance at the ‘Crazy Horse,’ one of the top three cabaret shows in Paris, alongside Molang Rouge and Lido.

Following the controversy, Lisa’s Weibo account in China was shut down. Also, some photos were made private or deleted from the Chinese accounts of the luxury brands for which she is an ambassador.

The China Performing Arts Association has a regulation that celebrities should not organize, participate in, or promote ‘obscenity, gambling, drugs, violence, terrorism, etc.’ through the ‘Self-Regulation Measures for Performing Arts Celebrities.’ Some speculate that the Chinese authorities may have imposed sanctions on Lisa’s activities in China.

The move by Jean-Christophe Babin, known for his close relationship with Lisa, has angered some fans. However, the speculation about a ‘breakup’ between the two has faded as Lisa has been repeatedly deleting and reposting her posts.
