Spanish sports newspaper AS reported on the 19th (local time), “Arsenal is eyeing Hwang Hee-chan, who has been showing good skills in the 2023~2024 Premier League (EPL). If Wolverhampton doesn’t renew its contract with Hwang soon, Arsenal could snatch him in the upcoming winter market.

The report continued, “Wolverhampton’s manager, Gary O’Neil, is anxious. He wants to keep Hwang, a vital player in O’Neil’s tactics.”

The report added, “Arsenal is short of forwards. With Gabriel Jesus frequently injured, they are lacking in the attack. Jesus is currently unable to play due to injury. If Arsenal wants to win this season’s EPL, they must strengthen their forward line.”

Mikel Arteta Sees Hwang as Arsenal’s Hidden Card

The AS explained, “Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, expects Hwang to fill Arsenal’s forward shortage. He believes that Hwang will be Arsenal’s hidden card. Arsenal has already prepared the transfer fee for Hwang Hee-chan.”

Hwang has been showing top performance in this season’s EPL. Wolverhampton selected him as the Player of the Month for October on the 14th. Hwang Hee-chan received nearly half, 45%, of the votes. Pedro Neto came in second, followed by Craig Dawson in third place.

Meanwhile, Hwang Hee-chan is a soccer player with a sturdy physique and outstanding speed, qualities that can shine in Europe.

Hwang’s trademark is his aggressive dribbling and physical play, which can break through opposing defenses at high speed, reminiscent of a raging bull. Another advantage is his ability to shoot and pass with both feet.
