North Korea Conducts First Test Launch of Cruise Missile

North Korea conducted the first test launch of its new strategic cruise missile, the “Flaming Arrow-3-31.”

According to the Korean Central News Agency on the 25th, North Korea’s Missile Bureau conducted a test launch of a cruise missile under development the previous day. The test emphasized that it did not have any impact on the safety of neighboring countries and was completely unrelated to regional political conditions.

The agency explained, “This test is a relentless renewal process of the weapons system and a regular and obligatory activity of the bureau and its affiliated defense science research institutes.”

Earlier, the Joint Chiefs of Staff announced that North Korea had launched several unidentified cruise missiles toward the West Sea at around 7 a.m. the previous day.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) on the same day to discuss issues related to North Korea’s nuclear program. Kim Gunn, the head of the Korean Peninsula Peace Negotiations, expressed his gratitude for NATO’s continued support and solidarity, including the condemnation of North Korea’s missile provocations.
