The showdown between heavyweight professional boxer Anthony Joshua and heavyweight champion Tyson Fury could become a reality this year.

Last year, Anthony Joshua made a comeback in the world title race with consecutive victories over Jermaine Franklin, Robert Helenius, and Otto Wallin.

Having won three times in a row, Anthony Joshua is set to fight for the IBF heavyweight title.

Recently, the British daily The Sun announced that the showdown between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will take place this year.

The boxing world is divided over who will win in the showdown between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, especially after Fury barely won against debutant Francis Ngannou last October, contrary to predictions of his overwhelming superiority.

In an interview, Tyson Fury said, “I love Anthony Joshua, but Tyson is such a good dodger, making him a difficult opponent to hit.”

He added, “Although Anthony Joshua may have a stronger punch than Deontay Wilder, he doesn’t punch faster than Wilder.”

He further noted, “He hits hard, but not fast. That’s what I see.”

Meanwhile, Anthony Joshua is set to face off against UFC heavyweight Ngannou before his showdown with Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia on March 8.

Anthony Joshua said, “Even though Tyson underestimated Ngannou, I won’t.”

He continued, “We knew Francis Ngannou as the man with the strongest punch in the world, but what was surprising was how well he boxed. He was outstanding and created complex situations in the match against Tyson.”

He added, “To that extent, I agree with the opinion that Francis Ngannou beaten Tyson Fury.”
