Former President Donald Trump, who is considering a run for the 2024 U.S. presidential election, emphasized his friendly relationship with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Former President Trump, while in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, reportedly stated that Chairman Kim of North Korea preferred him over President Biden, highlighting that there were no issues with North Korea during his tenure. He recounted the evolution of their relationship, initially strained due to his nickname for Kim as “Little Rocket Man,” but later developing into a friendship.

Trump mentioned Kim’s claim of having a nuclear launch button, to which he responded with a claim about having a larger and more functional button, leading to their eventual meeting and good rapport.

He also commented on the media’s reluctance to acknowledge the benefits of maintaining a positive relationship with leaders possessing nuclear capabilities, emphasizing the importance of such relationships.

At the rally that day, former President Trump fiercely criticized President Biden, his most likely opponent in the next election, referring to him as a “destroyer of American democracy.’
