On the 14th (local time), the Palestinian armed group Hamas claimed that the fate of the hostages they were holding was uncertain, blaming Israel.

According to the Arab Al Jazeera broadcast, Hamas spokesman Abu Ubaida announced this in a statement that day, saying, “There is a high possibility that a considerable number of them have died due to Israeli bombing.”

Spokesman Ubaida said, “The remaining personnel are also in danger,” and told Israel, “Their (remaining hostages) life and death depend on the enemy (Israel).”

Hamas raided Israel on October 7th last year, killing about 1,200 people and kidnapping 250. Of these, about 100 were released during a one-week temporary ceasefire, but 132 are still being held and their life or death is uncertain.

As the hostages dragged to the Gaza Strip have not returned for 100 days, the families of the hostages held a 24-hour protest in Tel Aviv, Israel, calling for a cessation of war and efforts to release the hostages.
