Jimin Drops New Solo Album ‘MUSE’ Amid BTS Military Hiatus!

Following RM and Jungkook, BTS member Jimin will also release a new album.

On June 18, Big Hit Music announced through the fan platform Weverse that Jimin’s second solo album, MUSE, will be released worldwide on July 19 at 1 PM KST.

Jimin’s second solo album, MUSE, will be released about a year and four months after his first solo album, FACE, released last March.

Following the first album, FACE, which explores discovering one’s true self, his latest album delves into finding the source of inspiration, sparking keen interest among fans.

The album, which shows Jimin’s expanded musical spectrum, will include seven songs, including the fan song “Closer Than This,” released last December.

Big Hit Music also stated that various pieces of content prepared by Jimin before his military enlistment would be released before the release of MUSE.

All members of BTS, except Jin, are currently serving in the military. Jin was discharged on June 12 and attended the 2024 FESTA to meet with fans on June 13.

BTS appears to be working so hard that their military hiatus is barely noticeable. RM’s second album, Right Place, Wrong Person, was released on May 24, and Jungkook gifted his fans with a digital single, Never Let Go, on June 7.

Jimin and Jungkook enlisted in the 5th Infantry Division’s recruit training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province. The two are expected to be discharged on June 11, 2025, and full-scale BTS activities will resume in the second half of 2025.
